Thepparit Banditwattanawong holds a B.Eng. degree (honors) in computer engineering from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand, as well as an M.Eng. degree in computer science from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in informatics from the National Institute of Informatics (NII, Tokyo), The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, Japan.


He was a researcher at National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) and a specialist at Electronic Government Agency (EGA), Thailand. He then joined the Department of Computer Science at Mahidol International College as a full time lecturer and later acted in a Ph.D.IT. program director position at Sripatum University. He is currently a full time lecturer with the Department of Computer Science as well as Ph.D.CS. program chairman at Kasetsart University, Krung Thep Mahana Khon, Thailand.

He received research grants from TRF and NRCT.

His main areas of research include computer network optimization, cloud computing, and distributed computing. He also contributed in machine learning, recommendation systems, expert systems, knowledge engineering (ontology), and fuzzy logic in IoT. He is the holder of professional certificates both vendor-neutral and vendor-specific such as CISSP, Cloud Essential, CCNA, AWS Academy Educator (badge), etc.
